[...] Convergence at the Winchester Street Theatre is an interesting show with eight different dance sequences. Since working for Mooney on Theatre I have seen many dance shows and have grown to really appreciate great dance performances. Even though I could not relate to the subject matter, I was certainly able to appreciate the talented dancers and choreographers that brought this show together. In regards to the content of the show, I feel it lacks cohesion as the ‘acts’ are unrelated. I would have been better prepared for what was to commence if the performances were not described as acts of one show. Each performance is tremendous at conveying what it aims to. For this reason, the hour long show with a 15 minute intermission flies by. [...]

Hi Andrew!

While I am sure most people have their own techniques. I always try to define the idea. That kernel of whatever the future project is going to be. Just get the words out of my head and onto the page. Once you have that the words just begin to flow naturally.
I find it also helps if you think of trying to explain the concept to a Tibetan monk who has been isolated in the mountains for one hundred years and has never seen anything like your idea. If you can make that person understand, anyone should be able to grasp what you are talking about.

First off I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question in which Id like to ask if you dont mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Kudos!
