Theatre Passe Muraille is getting to ready launch it’s season with the Queen West Project from September 12th until September 23rd.
The Queen West Project takes multiple dancers and pairs them with audience members to travel down Queen West. Part audio tour, part immersive dance experience, the audience members are wearing headphones through which they hear a soundscape that incorporates text, music, and instructions so that a dance begins to take shape – one that only the audience can hear. Devised in collaboration with youth from Eva’s Phoenix, the Queen West Project explores the area’s relationship to homelessness, mental health and regeneration.
Featuring some of Canada’s leading dancers; Bill Coleman, Viv Moore, Lucy Rupert, Andrew Hartley, Kevin Ormsby and Jolyane Langlois.
Created by Deborah Pearson and Allison Cummings
Script and concept by Deborah Pearson
Choreography by Allison Cummings
Tickets can be purchased through Theatre Passe Muraille’s box office either in person at 16 Ryerson Avenue, Toronto, ON or by phone at 416.504.7529
