Lua Shayenne is member of Toronto Playback Theatre and founder of the dance company, Lua Shayenne & Co. which presents contemporary and traditional African dance works. She has worked with Bakari Lindsay, Chester Whitmore, Kevin Ormsby, De-Napoli Clarke, Eleo Pomare, Erika Batdorf, Rhoma Spencer, Weyni Mengesha and more. Martha Randall and Nia – A 16 year love affair!

Step into this pleasure-based movement class that explores fitness, fun and self-expression through the Martial Arts, Dance Arts and Healing Arts. Nia cooks the body and the imagination with diverse movement possibilities that are accessible to all levels of fitness. Come pulse, stretch, flow, push, balance and… whoop it up! to the dynamic sounds of musicians Gary Diggins and Yuri Gorbachev.
Martha Randall has been a leader and visionary for The Nia Technique in Toronto and across Canada for 16 years. She is one of two Canadian trainers offering the foundational Nia White Belt Training across Canada. Her dance training at York University and subsequent study of contact improvisation, karate, yoga, butoh, clowning and 5 Sacred Rhythms ensure that her teaching emerges from a depth of very personal experience. Her performance experience with Claudia Moore’s Moonhorse Dance Theatre adds artistic flair to her offerings. Her passion for physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual vibrancy ensures that her facilitation in class and training settings is compassionate, intuitive and precise.
